Russ G.P. Logisse owner of FIT with “FUSS” amongst many others is a certified personal trainer with the American Council of Exercise (ACE) as well as the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

In college when Russ, who on a football scholarship, was not in class or on the field, he was either found in study hall or in the gym. After being approached by other students wanting tips on how to get in shape, Russ started what would lead to a successful and fulfilling career in fitness and nutrition management.

FIT with “FUSS” focuses on functional fitness that mimics the stresses of everyday life. The unique, no machine, resistance training utilizes kettlebells, sand and water bags, ropes and suspension training to help bring out clients inner athlete. “I not only work with pre-and-post-op cardiac and joint replacement patients as well as diabetics but I do a lot of high-performance athletic and sport specific training,” Russ explains.

Prior to starting any program, whether one-on-one or in a small group setting in the Fuzion Formula Fitness program, Russ insists his clients receive a medical assessment so that he along with the client knows of any underlying issues that may arise during training. “All of my clients have access to the best sports doctors and treatment including everything from chiropractic, physiotherapy to MRIs.”

Many people believe that because they are athletic they are in shape, however Russ teaches the opposite to be true. “I want people to get fit to play,” he explains. Not only does getting fit help with being successful in your sport of choice, it also helps reduce injury and downtime.

With the belief of ‘quality over quantity,’ Russ does not set specific requirements for his clients. “Clients are not asked to keep with others in a class. I want my clients to learn to do the exercises properly while setting their own goals,” he explains. “As they progress through the program they find that they are not only reaching their goals but exceeding them.”

In addition to the fitness aspect of FIT with “FUSS”, Russ helps his client put together nutrition plan, not a diet, which is based on what they already eat and enjoy. “I help them learn how to better prepare the foods they already like and how to improve the taste of foods without additives like salt and sugar etc.”
