Deciding to make fitness and nutrition a part of your everyday lifestyle is the first step to achieving a healthier you. FIT with “FUSS”, a unique and personalized approach to fitness, health and wellness not only helps clients achieve their goals but provide them with a lifestyle makeover.

Hi, my name is Russ G.P. Logisse owner of FIT with “FUSS” I am a certified personal trainer with the American Council of Exercise (ACE) as well as the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), ISSA and numerous other certifying boards.

When I was in college on a football scholarship, if I was not in class or on the field, I was either found in study hall or in the gym. After being approached by other students wanting tips on how to get in shape, I started what would lead to a successful and fulfilling career in fitness and nutrition management.

FIT with “FUSS” focuses on functional fitness that mimics the stresses of everyday life. The unique, no machine, resistance training utilizes kettlebells, sand and water bags, dumbbells, barbells, ropes and suspension training and MANY other FUNCTIONAL training tools & protocols to help bring out my clients inner athlete. “In addition…I not only work with pre-and-post-op cardiac and joint replacement patients, Cancer Patient both pre & post op as well as diabetics and other higher health risk groups  but I do a lot of high-performance athletic and sport specific training,”

Prior to starting any program, whether one-on-one or in a small group setting in the Fuzion Formula Fitness program, I insist my clients receive a medical assessment so that I along with YOU the client knows of any underlying issues that may arise during training. “All of my clients have access to the best sports doctors and treatment modalities including everything from chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage therapy to MRIs. and other diagnostic tests as needed to identify and address any of those issues that arose before starting training or during training”

Many people (weekend warriors) believe that because they are semi-athletic & therefore somewhat active they are in shape, however I like to teach that the opposite is in fact true. “I want people to get FIT TO PLAY, NOT play to get fit ”. Not only does getting fit help with being successful in your sport or activity of choice, it also helps reduce injury and downtime.

With the belief of ‘quality over quantity,’ I do not set specific requirements for my clients. “My Clients are not asked to keep with others in a class. I want my clients to learn to do the exercises properly while setting their own goals,” I like to empahasize. “As they progress through the program they find that they are not only reaching their goals but exceeding them.”

In addition to the fitness aspect of training with FIT with “FUSS”, I also help my clients put together a workable nutrition plan/strategy, not a diet, which is based on what they already eat and enjoy. “I help you learn how to better prepare the foods you already like and how to improve the taste of foods without excessive use of additives like salt and sugar etc.”
