3 Secrets To Getting in Shape for 2013
The Christmas Holidays are winding down or already over for many of us.
If you gained a pound or two then that’s fine just don’t let yourself go back to where you were before.
Sometimes fitness requires us to take one step back for every two steps forward.
But just know that to get that lean summer body your work has to be put in during the months of January, February, March and April.
That’s when the true transformations usually happen.
I want to leave you with 3 secrets to truly lasting transformations.
Focus on these 3 principles of fat loss and you are certain to get into your best shape in 2013.
These principles are more inner driven then outer driven because as you know:
Change comes from the inside first and then the outside.
So are you ready? Soak these in and really focus on them so now that the new year has hit you’ll be ready.
Here they are:
#1 – Don’t Stop….Believing
Here is the first step toward success. It’s a basic step.
It can’t be avoided. Step One: Believe in yourself, believe you can succeed.
As Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t…you are probably right”
Believe in yourself. Know you can do whatever you set your mind to and you will achieve it.
I believe in you. Go for it.
When my family came to Canada I discovered Football and as a skinny 11 year old who only knew rugby, soccer and swimming my desire to play football was laughed at by everybody in my family.
Hmmmmsound familiar ? ..….yet I persevered and got a Football Scholarship to The University of Kentucky a D-1 school in the SEC only 9 years later.
#2 – Get Rid Of “EXCUSITIS”
Go deep into your study of people, and you’ll discover unsuccessful people suffer a mind-deadening thought
disease. We call this disease EXCUSITIS.
Every failure has this disease in its advanced form. And most ‘average’ persons have at least a mild case of it.
Too old? Too young? Not enough money? Not enough time? Not smart enough?
It’s definitely time to vaccinate yourself from the dreaded “Excusitis”—the most deadly disease guaranteed to
drive you straight to failure. (Or, perhaps worse, mediocrity.)
Is now a good time to quit making excuses and give your highest self to your ideals?
I hope you said, “Yes” 🙂
Get rid of your excuses and replace them with positive excuses” as to why you can reach your goal.
#3 – How’s Your STICKABILITY?
Having the opportunity to hang around and be friends with a number of successful people there is one thing
that I have found that have separated them from failureand it is…
They never ever ever EVER give up.
Stickability is the ability to stick with something until it’s done.
My question for you is…
Do you give up when you reach an obstacle? Or do you see things through to their completion?
I’ve been through enough obstacles in my life from Multiple knee surgeries to flipping a convertible and
going through two years of rehab and training to regain my strength and conditioning.
Every time I hit an obstacle in life I always knew it was a chance to increase my skills and become a stronger person
Did it hurt at times? Yes.
But what would hurt more than anything else in the world would be if I actually gave up.
Treat your obstacles as a game. Notice it. Be aware of it. And then ask yourself, “How can this make me stronger?”
Then take action.
And don’t forget the last part: Never ever ever EVER give up.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas season and remember to be in the moment.
